Rebuilding a retro portal
The Polish Knights and Merchants community needed a modern technical backbone while keeping the retro character of the portal.
Challenge
Every subpage had been hand-coded in a different style, making consistent management and migration to modern solutions extremely difficult.
Solution
I built a full CMS preserving the retro style with globally applied functions. I created tools for new subpages and a migration editor that auto-detects metadata and formats the target page. I also integrated the panel with phpBB forum accounts.
Result
The delivered features are things the community had been waiting a long time for. A Mission Centre for uploading and downloading user missions is coming soon.
